Milwa
- In 1871, Schladitz founded a soap factory. The produced soap was sold directly to consumers in rural stores. By 1939, the factory mainly produced soap and detergents.
- After World War II, direct marketing was discontinued.
- In 1946, there were 146 employees, who, for example, produced 200,000 bars of soap in the second quarter.
- Since 1958, soap has also been exported to the Netherlands, England, Finland, Belgium, West Berlin, and Singapore. In the 1960s-1970s, the range of products slowly but steadily changed.
- Soap production was reduced in favor of powdered detergents. Soap production ceased entirely in the mid-1970s.
Today, Schladitz milwa GmbH exclusively produces powdered detergents and cleaning agents.
